PLACEMENT OF RIVETS
Listed below is an important reminder on the placement of the rivets when you are installing. We have a note on this in the install guide, but it sometimes gets overlooked.
As shown in the picture below, rivets should be installed ONLY at the fence posts (where the panels overlap) and NOT where the panels overlap in the middle of each section of fencing
If rivets are installed in the middle of each fence section, it can lead to buckling as the mow strip panels are designed to expand/contract when there are changes in temperature, etc.
Cutting the Material
In the event that you need to cut the material (for example: if a sprinkler head is located in the fence line, etc.), you can use a table saw, jigsaw, dremel or even a utility knife.
Fence Sections Longer Than 10’ On Center
If you have fence sections that are longer than 10’ on center (and end up with a gap in the middle of the fence section), we recommend cutting an additional panel and splicing in the extra material (to be secured with rivets) to cover the gap.
